Is your plastic fuel filter canister cap showing the signs of aging? You can tell by looking at the rounded off shoulders of the 28mm hex head (that’s right it is metric not 1-1/8″ SAE). Those rounded edges make it hard to remove the cap. Or the cap is often over-torqued and cracked.
